Cookie & Tracking Policy

Last Updated: October 9, 2026 • Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Building IT LLC ("Building IT", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, local storage tokens, session identifiers, and related tracking technologies across our websites, cloud dashboards, and web-based application interfaces (including buildingit.online). This Cookie Policy explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to manage or disable them.

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) by web servers when you visit an online platform. Cookies help websites remember your device, preferences, and authentication states over time.

Local Storage & Session Storage: Modern HTML5 web applications also use browser-based local storage (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) to maintain security states, client-side preferences (such as light/dark mode settings), and session validation tokens without transmitting sensitive data on every server request.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Building IT LLC categorizes cookies into the following operational groups:

A. Strictly Necessary & Security Cookies (Mandatory)

These cookies are essential for the operation, perimeter security, and stability of our website and SaaS applications. They cannot be deactivated in our systems.

  • Perimeter Defense & DDoS Mitigation: Cloudflare edge security cookies (such as __cf_bm and bot mitigation tokens) used to distinguish authentic visitors from malicious automated bot traffic.
  • Session Authentication: Cryptographically signed tokens used to verify logged-in technicians, contractors, and administrators across protected cloud portals.
  • Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) Tokens: Cryptographic nonces ensuring that form submissions and API mutations originate directly from verified user actions.
  • Consent State Memory: A lightweight local preference key (cookie_consent) recording whether you have acknowledged our compliance policies.

B. Functional & Preference Cookies (Optional)

These cookies allow our platforms to remember choices you make (such as interface themes, active filter tabs, or language preferences) to provide an individualized user experience.

  • UI State Retention: Remembers your active ecosystem category filters and dashboard panel arrangements.
  • Client Role Preferences: Preserves contractor dispatch filters and map zoom configurations between sessions.

C. Telemetry & Performance Cookies (Optional)

These technologies collect aggregated, privacy-conscious telemetry to help us understand server latency, edge cache hit ratios, and application responsiveness.

  • Performance Telemetry: Aggregated load times and API error rates measured at the edge to ensure 99.99% uptime.
  • No Third-Party Ad Profiling: We do not deploy cross-site tracking beacons, third-party advertising cookies, or data-broker trackers on any Building IT LLC platform.

3. Mobile Applications & On-Device Storage (iOS)

For native iOS applications distributed under Apple Developer Team ID YJ3A93662L (including SoloLiger, Sales Liger, SWAPP, and KnockYourSalesOff):

  • Mobile apps do not use traditional browser cookies for core operations.
  • Instead, they utilize secure iOS on-device sandboxed storage, including Apple Keychain (for encrypted credentials) and UserDefaults (for local application settings and offline dispatch state).
  • All mobile network communication is performed over TLS 1.3 encrypted HTTPS and WebSocket channels.
  • We adhere strictly to Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and do not track users across third-party apps and websites.

4. Third-Party Subprocessors & Edge Services

Our edge and cloud delivery network relies on selected enterprise providers:

  • Cloudflare Inc.: Global CDN, edge caching, DNS, and SSL/TLS termination. Cloudflare may set strict operational cookies to route traffic and protect endpoints from denial-of-service events.
  • Google Fonts: Web typography loaded via static Google Fonts CDN (using minimal, privacy-compliant requests without personalized cookie tracking).

5. How You Can Control Cookies

You have full authority over cookies stored on your devices:

  • Browser Settings: Most modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies in their Settings or Privacy menus.
  • Incognito / Private Browsing: Using Private or Incognito mode automatically flushes all session cookies when you close your browser window.
  • Do Not Track (DNT) / GPC: Our edge infrastructure respects Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser.

Please note: Blocking strictly necessary security cookies may cause certain authentication and dashboard features to function abnormally.

6. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may amend this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect technological enhancements, new software modules, or evolving legal frameworks. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Effective Date."

7. Contact the Compliance Office
